What: The F&A Rate (Facilities and Administrative Cost Rate) Explained
Who: Anyone interested in learning more about the F&A rate calculation and negotiation process
When: This information session will be offered twice Monday, April 6, 2009, 2:00 4:00 and Wednesday, April 8, 2009, 2:00 4:00.

Ever get questions about what is included in the F&A rate? Do you think that F&A costs are simply the profit the University earns on its grants and contracts? Ever wonder what Cost Analysis does when it is not bugging you about effort forms and payroll cost transfers?
The university is in the midst of its base year for F&A rate calculations. This means that the results of this year will be used to submit a proposal to the federal government in order to negotiate F&A rates for FY 2011 and beyond. The development of this proposal will involve people from across the campus at all levels. The Office of Cost Analysis would like to take this opportunity to inform the campus about this process.
